Michael Overton, DVM
Dr. Overton is from Paint Creek, Texas, a small farming community north of Abilene. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1966 with a degree in physical education, and spent four years as an Army aviator, serving in Vietnam. Afterwards, he decided to return to school to pursue his doctorate in veterinary medicine and graduated from Texas A&M University a second time in 1977. He has been in practice in Allen since 1978 and opened Allen Veterinary Hospital in 1986. He and his wife, Linda, have been married since 1968. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandsons. At this time they have two dogs and a bird, though others come and go. Dr. Overton enjoys all animals and the people who love them.
Alan Coffman, DVM
Dr. Coffman joined the staff of Allen Veterinary Hosptial in 2003. He grew up in Bartlesville, OK, where he graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1992. He served a two year mission in Fresno, CA, for the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Animal Science in 1998, and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University in 2003. He and his wife, Amy, have been married since 1996 and have a three year old son named Samuel. The Coffmans enjoy spending time with Sam, and they are looking forward to the birth of their second child in August. At this time they have two dogs, Pollywog and Ladybug.
Lea Marlborough, Office Manager
Lea grew up in Tennessee. She joined the staff of Allen Veterinary Hospital in 1988. Lea and her husband, Ed, have been married since 1984. They have two children, Megan and Matthew. They currently have one dog.
Linda Overton, Clinic Bookkeeper
This is Dr. Overton's wife. She is not always seen at the clinic, because she does a lot of her work at home. She has been married to Dr. Overton since 1968, and they have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two adorable grandsons. They are expecting a granddaughter in September.
Kathie Evans, Receptionist
Kathie grew up in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School. She attended Grayson County Community College and Collin County Community College. She has three children and several grandchildren, along with three cats, two dogs, and a bird. Kathie loves animals, gardening,
people, and pets.
Janice Mauldin, Receptionist
Janice has worked at Allen Veterinary Hospital since the summer of 2006. She has three children, Jessica, Devon, and William. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching kareoke with her friends. Janice has two dogs, two cats, and a sugar glider at home. She enjoys the people that she works with, as well as working with the many animals at the clinic.
Ellen Thomas, Technician
Ellen has worked at the clinic since 1995, starting out as a kennel worker and then working as a receptionist and, later, technician. She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M Galveston, with a degree in Maritime Administration. Ellen has four cats: Miles, Bud, Davis and Mr. Mau, all of whom were rescue kittens from the clinic.
Doug Ketcham, Technician
Doug worked at the clinic in the kennel for five years before recently returning as a technician. A native Texas, Doug is a graduate of Allen High School. He lives with his parents and two younger sisters in Allen. In his spare time Doug enjoys watching TV and movies, playing poker, hunting, fishing, and off-roading. He has four cats at home. His favorite, Chub Chub, was adopted from the clinic. Doug likes the people and the animals that he works with here.
Celeste McQuiddy, Technician
Celeste has worked at Allen Vet. Hospital since July, 2006. Originally from Angel Fire, New Mexico, she previously worked at the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos, New Mexico. She and her husband, Nick, have two dogs and two cats. Nick is a chef, and they both enjoy travelling. Celeste enjoys working at the clinic where she can help animals who cannot tell us what is wrong.
Chris Tancredi, Technician
Chris has worked at the clinic since 2007. A native of Plano, Chris is a high school graduate who enjoys all sports, particularly fishing, sky-diving, and snake rangling. He has two crazy dogs and a fish. Chris enjoys the chalenge of helping a sick animal get better, and he finds his work at the clinic fun and interesting.
Tyler Ivie, Technician
Tyler has worked at the clinic since 2007. He is originally from Idaho, but moved to Texas to attend college. He and his wife, Tammy, have a pug named Puppy. In his leisure time he likes to fish, hunt, hang out with his family, and exercise. Tyler enjoys working at the clinic because the animals are cared for here, and it is fun to be a part of that. He finds the work atmoshere great.
Heather Sherrin, Technician
Heather has worked at Allen Veterinary Hospital since January, 2009. She and her husband live in Anna. She has worked previously as a dental assistant and as a correctional officer. In her spare time, Heather enjoys pet-sitting and working with Adopt A Husky Dallas. She has four dogs of her own, and is presently caring for a foster husky. Heather enjoys working at the clinic because she likes to meet new people and their pets. She especially enjoys being a part of helping a sick animal get better.
Cathy Tol, Receptionist
Cathy has worked at the clinic as a receptionist since April, 2004. Originally from Sherman, she attended Grayson County Community College. Cathy and her husband, Ron, have two teenaged sons, as well as four dogs and three cats. Besides caring for her family and pets, Cathy likes to go boating, shopping, and working in her yard. She loves working at the clinic because it is never boring and there is always something exciting going on. She enjoys working with the doctors and staff, and she continues to learn new things.
Kelli Kerutis, Receptionist
Kelli has worked at the clinic since 2004. Originally from Liberty, Texas, she worked for several years as a nurse before changing to animal medicine. Kelli has two daughters, Janice and Morgan, who also work at the clinic, and she also has five grandchildren. In her spare time she likes to dance, ride horses, swim, water ski, and snow ski. She has a very large Golden Doodle puppy. Kelli enjoys working at the clinic because of the wonderful, caring atmosphere. The staff works as a team and counts on each other, like a family. They care more about the animals than the money, which Kelli sees as a dying breed.
Morgan Polcer, Receptionist
Morgan has been working at the clinic since January, 2007. While her husband is serving in Iraq, Morgan and her daughter Emma are living with her mother. They have six dogs at home Morgan is from Texas and has a background in massage therapy. She enjoys everything about her job.
Kristen Doss, Receptionist
Kristen has worked at the clinic since August, 2007. She lives with her parents, her older sister, and her younger brother. She has four dogs and a cat. In her leisure time Kristen likes to read, watch movies, and hang out with friends. She likes working at the clinic because she enjoys helping animals and being part of the Allen Veterinary Hospital family.
Lauren Woodall, Receptionist
Lauren has worked at the clinic since June, 2009. A native of Allen Texas, she graduated from Allen High School and is now a freshman at Collin College. She lives with her mother, stepfather, and three brothers and sisters. In her spare time Lauren likes to read, study, and hang out with friends. She has a dog named Stetson. Lauren enjoys working at the clinic because she learns something new every day. She loves working with animals and with the rest of the staff. She looks forward to coming to work every day.
Brooke Overton, Receptionist
Brooke is Dr. Overton's daughter. She spent three years at Texas A&M before choosing cosmetology as a career. Brooke just returned to Texas after living several years in Colorado, and she has decided to go back to school to finish her degree. Brooke has been working at the clinic since August, 2009. Although she has been around animals all of her life, this is her first time to work at the clinic, and she enjoys the fast pace and the people. Brooke and her family have two dogs, two cats, and a bird. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her three nephews and neices.
Mona Warren, Receptionist
Mona has worked at the clinic since September, 2009. A native of Plano, Mona and her husband, John, have three beautiful children. She loves spending time with her family as well as hanging out with friends. They have a cat, a ferret, and two turtles. Mona loves her job, the clients, and the rest of the staff.
Michy Enriquez, Kennel Worker
Michy has worked at the clinic since November, 2007. Michy grew up in Palm Beach, Florida, where she worked on yachts for eleven years. Since moving to Texas, she has enjoyed working at Allen Veterinary Hospital because the doctors are great people who do all that they can for the animals. Michy has four grown children. At home she cares for a pitt bull dog, a bearded lizard, and a guinea pig. In her spare time Michy likes to camp, hike, fish, and hang out with friends and family.
Ashley Mangrum, Kennel Worker
Ashley started working at the clinic in May, 2007. A recent high school graduate, Ashley likes to play soccer, swim, and hang out with her friends. She lives with her parents and sister in Allen. Ashley has a Shitzu puppy named Abby and a dove named Tan. She enjoys working at the clinic, and walking the dogs, because of the animal interaction.
Monique Esparza, Kennel Worker
Monique has worked at Allen Veterinary Hospital since May, 2009. She is a student at Allen High School where she enjoys showing pigs in FFA, and her classes in animal science and veterinary technology. She has also volunteered at the Allen Animal Shelter. Monique and her family have three Boston terriers. Monique enjoys the people she works with and learning more about veterinary medicine. She would like to become a veterinarian someday.
Kerry Pewitt, Kennel Worker
Kerry has worked at the clinic since July, 2009. He is a senior at Allen High School where he is in the vet tech program. In his leisure time he likes to eat and play soccer. Kerry and his family have three dogs and two cate. He likes working at the clinic because he wants to become a veterinarian someday, and he enjoys learning more about how a veterinary clinic operates.
Helen Cano, Kennel Worker
Helen has worked at the clinic since August, 2009. Originally from El Paso, she moved to California when she was two years old, and came to Dallas in 1994. She has always loved animals, and cares for other people's dogs and cats when they are out of town. Helen comes from a large family of eleven children, and enjoys church worship in her leisure time. She likes working with all of the animals and people at the clinic.
